Good Afternoon,
The first strong fall cold front has entered Northern Oklahoma and a squall line has recently begun to form. As of 4:30 PM CDT the cold front and developing convection are located about 75 miles northwest of Oklahoma City. Convection should begin to accelerate somewhat and by midnight, if not a little before, the squall line should be on the Red River.

A severe thunderstorm watch is in effect for Oklahoma and will most likely be extended south to at least the Red River by later tonight. The squall line should begin to weaken slightly as it approaches the metroplex, but strong to marginally severe wind gusts will still be possible. In Oklahoma and along the Red River wind gusts could approach 70 MPH in spots if any organized bow echos can develop. Since Connor is taking classes at the University of Oklahoma he should be able to get some pics/video once the line moves through. My plan is to leave Dallas at 7 PM once rush hour is complete and head up to at least the red river, if not into Oklahoma. The live stream and GPS will be up from the dome cam.
