(HD VIDEO) 10/23/2011 – Severe Storm approaches Downtown Dallas

Description:

We had the opportunity to film video from the top of a mid-rise building just a few miles northwest of Downtown Dallas, so we took it! A severe thunderstorm with a history of producing golfball size hail and winds over 60 MPH approaches our position from the north. The first scene of the video shows the storm a few miles away, with the gust front knocking out a transformer (producing a power flash). The second scene is looking towards Dallas Love Field as the gust front kicks up a large amount of dust. Finally, the third scene shows a panorama of the storm just before we take shelter.
