March 18, 2012 Storm Chase

Chaser: David Reimer

Video/Photo Summary: David Reimer filmed multiple brief tornadoes as a supercell moved across Southwest Oklahoma on a Sunday evening. The first two tornadoes in this video were brief spinups on the outer edge of a large circulation that was wrapped in rain. Other chasers reported a larger tornado hidden by the curtains of rain. After David called off the chase to edit video, he actually happened to film a third tornado from the southern edge of the storm as it moved away. These tornadoes occurred in fairly rural areas and the damage from them was minimal.
