5 PM Temperatures

title=”5 PM Temperatures across Texas” src=”http://www.www.texasstormchasers.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/08/OVERALL1-625×347.jpg” alt=”" width=”625″ height=”347″ />

I believe a certain four letter word perfectly describes how hot it is across Texas this afternoon. Vernon is at 112 degrees with much of the state at or above the century mark. The only folks who are receiving some relief are those right on the coast where the sea breeze has pushed onshore. Even there though, temperatures are hovering around 90 degrees.

We’ll have a summary of locations that broke record highs a bit later this evening, for now I’ll leave you with additional graphics that show temperatures on a more local level.

New Website is Live!

If you’re seeing this message, you have reached the NEW Texas Storm Chasers website!

Pardon our dust while we continue to transfer items over and add additional content. I’m hoping to have this website fully operational by Friday. We’ll be adding weather links, all our past chases, changing around some sidebar items, and “filling up the website”. If you have something you don’t see right now that you believe would be a good addition to our website, comment using the facebook bar below!

Thanks for Visiting!

Texas Storm Chasers and the Texas Weather Blog should not be your only weather source. For the official and latest weather forecasts and data, visit your local National Weather Service webpage at www.weather.gov.

In addition, we may not be able to post updates while storm chasing. Always check with other weather sources before making weather-related decisions.
