Panhandle Storms Today; Heatwave continues in Texas

We are about to hit the top of our temperature roller-coaster across Texas before a ‘less hot’ environment arrives this weekend. A few severe storms are expected late this afternoon through the early evening hours across the Panhandle. The highest storm chances will be north of Interstate 40, with another nasty high-wind event possible across parts of Kansas and Oklahoma tonight. We’ll be on the tail end of that in the Panhandle, and that complex of storms should remain north and eventually east of the Red River Wednesday morning. Otherwise, heat will remain the name of the game this week across Texas, so please stay hydrated and don’t push yourself too hard! Keep an eye on your elderly neighbors and ensure they’re keeping cool.
